Good rules for proper use of your slicer

How to use your slicer in safety, preventing any risk of accidents. Here are our recommendations.

Good rules for a proper use of your slicer

When using a slicer it would be important to take care of some aspects in order to improve the security for the operator and the life of the machine itself.

Use properly the machine and respect the security procedures mentioned in the instruction manual prevent the risk of accidents in the working place and damages for the slicer..

Let’s see which are the procedures to follow, without any risk, the standard usage operations, cleaning and maintenance.

1. The right placing

Place your slicer on a counter free of obstructions.; a stable stand, able to support its load.

Be sure that at least ten centimeters divide the machine from walls that might disturb a good aeration.

2. Power supply and cables

It is appropriate to plug the slicer into a free socket (where no other devices are connected) and the network is able to support its energy consumption.

As far as the cables are concerned it would be prudent to avoid plug adaptors, extension cords or multiple sockets, and to take care of positioning the cables in a safe way. They cannot get in touch with heating or moisture sources, water etc. It is evident that electric cables cannot be trampled or put in any position that can cause stumbling.

It is also useful to check periodically the state of the owned electrical connections.

Lastly remember to unplug the slicer from the socket before every cleaning or maintenance service.

3. Wear and tear

We have already explained how it is important to check if the electrical cables are consumed. It is also significant, in order to grant the maximum security level for the operators, how the blade is consumed..

Inside the instruction manual you can find the minimum diameter considered the limit for the blade to keep the safety of the machine.

Blades and components are just examples of the variety of pieces that may require, in a long period, a replacement : handles, switches, feet, guards etc. For this reason we suggest to check periodically (or let a technician do it) the general conditions of the slicer, especially in the event of an unusual performance.br />

4. Replacement of components>

Once the general test is made it may happen that the replacement of a part of your slicer is needed.

Contact immediately your authorized after sales service able to provide original spare parts. Alternatively contact us for details of our partners.

Expect to do it on your own without experience or use non-original spare parts can cause damages to the machine and to the operator.

5. The behavior

Lastly “listen” to your slicer and learn the interpretation of its signs.

Unusual smells, episodes of overheating, inaccurate led or strange noise are possibly signs of a malfunctioning of the slicers and as a matter of fact it is required an urgent check.

In this event unplug the slicer and call your after sales service..

Last but not least we would like to underline the importance of an perfect training of the operator  supposed to use the slicer. .
